John McCutchan ~ Founder
John worked in the coal mines of West Virginia for almost 18 years, when he decided he wanted to spend more time with his family. In the fall of 1996, he announced the official opening of McCutchan's Heating & Cooling.
It started in back of his home garage, and through the years it has flourished into a "community" company with nine other employees. It was a landmark day when he built and opened his new building, in 1997. Since its beginning, John has always been fair to his customers and spread his business name by "word of mouth" due to customer satisfaction.
John was diagnosed with Glioblastoma, GBM, an aggressive type of brain caner in August 2016. He was able to pass the business to his sons Tyler and Michael before he passed away on August, 29 2017. He is missed by many.
Tyler McCutchan
Tyler graduated with his Bachelor of Science in Industrial and Management Systems Engineering with a 4.0 GPA in May 2015 and is officially the company's first engineer. Tyler has worked within the family business and all aspects of it for almost his entire life. He has promised to continue the tradition of McCutchan's Heating and Cooling and use additional skills learned to expand the business.
Michael McCutchan
Michael completed his Bachelors degree in Mechanical Engineering at Fairmont State University in May 2018. He will become the 2nd McCutchan's Heating & Cooling employee to have a college engineering degree. Michael has worked for the family business for most of his life and has enjoyed being apart of it. Michael has promised to continue his father's legacy of great customer service and the traditions of the company.
